My Dad

I have been a little sad over the past few weeks.  My Dad got very sick and tried really, really hard to get better, but he passed away on October 19th, 2011.  I miss my Dad every single day.  But I know how very happy my Dad is being with so many loved ones who have gone on before.  And my Dad doesn't hurt anymore.

My Dad sure loved his sweetheart- Marcine!  What a pair!  They expressed love towards each other every day!  I am so happy I have that example of pure unconditional love and so many wonderful memories.

I'm not sure I'm ready for snow - I know my feet aren't since I have sandals on today!

61 years ago today

My Dad and Mom were married 61 years ago today.

Their love affair is still sweet and full of love for each other.

I know they will fill the whole day with memories, holding hands and quite a few kisses sprinkled in there as they celebrate together.  I know for sure that Dad will get a home made Lemon Meringue Pie from Mom.  S.W.E.E.T.!  Happy Anniversary!

My Little Damon

Its my grandson's birthday today!  He is 9

Damon Petersen is alllll boy - I'm sure he has a few toads and snails and "other" little boy treasures stuffed in his pockets!  This boy runs at mach 10 all the time!  I'm excited to see him tonight to give him a grandma hug.  He always makes me smile!
