Happy Easter 2011!

Happy Easter!  I was thrilled that we had a nice sunshine day!  When my Dad and Mom were in the Philippines serving a mission for our church my Mom learned how to weave baskets out of the pages of old phone books.  It is quite a craft and the end result is stunning!  Well, this year I am one of three teachers for our Primary class on Sundays and Mom made individual Easter baskets for all 12 of our little Sunbeams.  They had Easter grass in the bottom and just big enough to hold a small plastic fillable egg with m&m's, a couple other candies and a little toy.  We delivered the baskets to our sunbeams on Saturday.  These little 4 year olds were so adorable with their sweet smiles and faces of wonder.

Tulips and Easter Basket of goodies
My sister Ruth dropped by on Saturday with a fresh bouquet of Tulips for Dad and Mom.  They are so beautiful!  And Sunday morning the Easter Bunny (with the help of Janet) delivered an Easter Basket filled with goodies for Dad and Mom.  It was so fun!  Of course we made sure there were plenty of black jelly beans - Dad's favorite and peppermint patties - Mom's favorite.

Easter 2011
My daughter Amanda came by Sunday morning to go to church with us.  We had a nice time together.  Then family started dropping by.  We had a serve yourself type of luncheon of ham, homemade rolls, vegetable tray, fruit tray, jello salad and pasta salad and of course Easter cupcakes and lemon loaf bread.  It was so much fun to gather together!

My brother Terry just completed the Price 100 book 2nd edition.  What an accomplishment!  Dad and Mom were presented with this new book which added 16 new members of the Price Family Clan.  The book is incredible - each family member has a page with their photo, personal information such as birth date, blood type, where born, etc., and then an article about each one.  Dad and Mom are so pleased with this invaluable history of our family.  Kudos to Terry!

Celebrate Earth Day!

Hug a Tree!  Take a moment to take in the wonderful smells!  Look closely at the beautiful blossoms on the trees!  Pick up some scattered trash!  Recycle!  Give thanks for this beautiful place we call home!

Annual Tulip Festival

I am so excited for the Annual Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point!  This year it is held between April 15 through May 7th.

Thanksgiving Point is located just past "the point of the mountain" in Utah County.  You can find them online at www.thanksgivingpoint.com
If you would like to go to the festival they are open from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm and the fee is $10.00 per person.  They have acres of gardens, a gift shop and little cafe where you can buy something to eat, a huge golf course, theatre, etc.  So many things to do and see once you are there.  But the gardens are incredible!  So many photo opportunities!  Maybe I will see you there?

I am Grateful!

We have been lucky for the past couple of days to see clear skies and feel the warmth of the sun on our faces.  I am giddy just thinking that we might warm up and feel Spring time weather and that maybe, just maybe the stormy skies have been put to rest so we can enjoy this season.  Last night I opened my bedroom window just a crack so I could feel the early morning "fresh air" and the good morning chirping of birds, nudging  me out of bed to greet the new day.

I am grateful for the morning sounds

I am grateful for the beautiful flowers and green grass which brighten each day with beauty and color and the clear blue sky with a sprinkle of fluffy clouds.  So to each of you, wherever you may live, my wish for you this day is a sun filled day.  And I hope you will find beauty and wonder of something spectacular to bring you happiness!

April Fools 2011

April Fools Day!  I came to work this morning and as everyone in my office has come to expect and depend on - I am the first one here.  They count on it!  So today, April 1, 2011 I walk in the door and turn on the lights throughout the building as I head for my little office.  Walk to my door and I find this-

Every single chair in the office is crammed into my office as you can see in various positions, upside down, on the desk, and on the chair right in front of the door there is a small note tag that says - you have been pranked by aliens.  Pretty good April Fools Day joke!  Last year they got me with post it notes tagged EVERYWHERE! My office was covered in them - phone, computer, printer, walls, I think I'm still finding notes every once in a while.  I can tell its going to be a fun day!
